Founded by U.S. Patent Attorney Robert L. Risberg in 1997, is a patent search firm that offers a broad range of Patent Search Services geared toward law firms, corporations, investment firms, and private inventors.

Mr. Risberg received a B.S in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1987 from the University of Wisconsin. He received his J.D. in 1990 from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he served as Articles Editor on the Wisconsin Law Review.

He has been a member of the State Bar of California (Attorney No. 153802) since 1991 and has been registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office since 1992 (Registered U.S. Patent Attorney No. 35,335).

Mr. Risberg was an associate for the law firms of Townsend and Townsend and Crew LLP (1990-94) and Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP (1994-97). He was also Of Counsel to the law firm of Isbester & Thackray LLP (2002-08).

Robert Risberg was a member of a three-lawyer team representing plaintiff in a successful patent infringement action relating to phacoemulsification equipment. The jury awarded $93 million, one of the largest jury verdicts of 2005. The court later trebled damages. The case settled while on appeal for an amount in excess of the jury award.
